On the Boards: Shriners Hospital for Children

Cherry Britton visited SRG's Portland office last week to review full-size sample strips of elevator wall graphics designed for a new addition to Portland's Shriners Hospital for Children. The wall graphics feature photographs superimposed with imagery and icons illustrating wayfinding themes for each floor level. The graphics are typically 12' wide x 8' high, printed to Wilsonart® laminate panels and adhered directly to the wall surface. Project completion is slated for May 2010.

In the Mail: Clackamas Community College

Clackamas Community College's Health Sciences program has recently grown from two programs to a thriving college division because healthcare professionals are urgently needed. Here at their new allied health building, crisp oversize graphics and dimensional letters reflect the school's pride in their state-of-art nursing and health education facility as they prepare to meet this demand. Spirited blue and orange are the new white, setting the tone for future buildings on the Harmony Campus in Milwaukie. Corridors are activated with strong color and oversize graphics at recessed room and department entries throughout the three-story building.
